Japan Ski Group Trips
Powder for groups, schools, and companies — the skiing handled, and everything around it. Our team in Japan runs the logistics so the trip leader can enjoy the mountain.

Asahi Travel Group plans and operates ski trips across Japan for groups of every kind: friends and clubs, school and university programs, and corporate incentives. We are a Japan DMC established in 1992, with our own ground operations in Tokyo. The accommodation specialists sell beds; we run the whole trip — transfers, lift passes, guides, lessons, equipment, dietary catering, and the Tokyo or Kyoto days many groups add on either end.
Where you ski depends on your group. Hokkaido’s Niseko and Furano deliver the reliable deep powder Japan is known for. Hakuba and Nozawa Onsen in the Japan Alps pair big terrain with traditional villages and onsen. We match the resort to your group’s level, budget, and dates rather than selling one fixed package.
Who we run ski groups for
School & university programs
Teachers retain supervision; our guides accompany the group, manage every transfer and lift pass, and arrange lessons graded to ability. Accommodation, meals, and dietary requirements are organised for student-group travel, and we have operated programs of up to 500 students.
Corporate & incentive trips
Reward a team or host clients on the mountain, with the off-slope program — dining, culture, transport — run to the standard a corporate trip demands.
Private groups & clubs
Friends, families, and ski clubs travelling together, with a route and pace built around your group rather than a coach timetable.

What to know before you book
Book early — Japan’s ski season sells out from the inside
The best group accommodation in Niseko and Hakuba is committed months ahead. For any group, commit at least four months in advance; for peak weeks (late December through February), earlier is materially better for both price and availability.
Powder timing is not uniform
January and early February are the reliable deep-snow weeks across Hokkaido. December skiing is good but early-season; March still skis well at altitude and in the Alps, with longer daylight and lower prices — often the smart window for budget-conscious groups.
Group lift and lesson logistics differ from independent skiing
Large groups need lessons booked in blocks and lift passes arranged in advance; walk-up arrangements that work for two skiers fail for forty. This is the part accommodation-only sellers leave to the group leader.
Ski group questions
How far in advance should we book a Japan ski group trip?
A minimum of four months for any group, and earlier for peak weeks from late December through February, when the best accommodation commits months ahead. Earlier booking means better resorts, better rates, and first choice of dates.
Which Japanese ski resort is best for groups?
It depends on your group. Niseko and Furano in Hokkaido offer the most reliable deep powder; Hakuba and Nozawa Onsen in the Japan Alps pair large terrain with traditional villages and onsen. We match the resort to your group’s level, budget, and dates.
Can you arrange lessons and equipment for a whole group?
Yes. English-speaking lessons graded to ability and equipment hire are arranged in advance for the full group, not left to walk-up booking on arrival.
Can you handle dietary requirements for a ski group?
Yes. Halal, kosher, vegan, and vegetarian catering is arranged throughout the trip, verified venue by venue — a specialty of ours, including for large groups.
Can we add Tokyo or Kyoto to a ski trip?
Yes. Many groups add cultural days in Tokyo or Kyoto at either end, and we build the transfers and itinerary around the ski week.
