A Japan DMC for Travel Professionals

We operate Japan programs under your agency’s brand. Your clients experience a seamless trip; you keep the relationship. Established in 1992, with our own team and ground operations in Tokyo.

Asahi Travel Group is a Japan destination management company that works with travel agencies, advisors, and tour operators worldwide. We plan and run the on-the-ground trip in Japan; you stay the trusted name your client booked with. With offices in New York and Sydney and our own operations in Tokyo, you get a partner in your timezone and a team in Japan — established in 1992, with over 500,000 travelers served.

Your brand, our ground operations

Full white-label operation is our core service. Itineraries, travel documents, and on-the-ground support carry your agency’s brand. Your clients never need to know a DMC is involved — and the relationship, and the repeat business, stay with you. Confirm white-labeling when you brief us, and we configure every guest touchpoint accordingly.

Tokyo cityscape for Japan DMC partners

A partner for your annual Japan program

The agencies who work with us best are the ones who return to Japan every year — school programs, special-interest groups, incentive trips. We keep your group’s full operating file from season to season, apply what worked, and refine hotels, routing, and timing each year. Several partner agencies have run the same annual Japan departure with us for years.

What we operate for partners

The partner agencies call when it has to happen

Agencies also come to us when a regular operator cancels, when a group overflows capacity, or when a client wants something no one else will arrange. We have stepped in at short notice and delivered — last-minute is one of the things we are known for. It is not all we do, but it is a measure of what our ground operation can handle.

A team in Japan, accountability in your timezone

Most Japan DMCs are reachable only on Tokyo hours. We are not. Our offices in New York and Sydney mean you brief, query, and resolve in your own business day, while the trip is run by our own team on the ground in Japan. When something needs a decision mid-trip, your clients have direct contact numbers and 24-hour support in Japan.

Partner questions

Can your team operate our trips entirely under our agency’s brand?

Yes. Full white-label operation is our core service. Itineraries, travel documents, and on-the-ground support all carry your agency’s brand, and your clients never need to know a DMC is involved. Confirm total white-labeling when you brief us, and we configure every guest touchpoint accordingly.

How quickly do you return a quote?

You receive an initial response within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday, with any questions needed to sharpen the brief. A detailed proposal follows within 48 hours of your answers.

What group sizes can you handle?

We have operated school programs of up to 500 students at a time. Large groups require booking at least four months in advance; smaller groups and individual travelers have shorter lead times.

Do you have your own staff in Japan, or is everything subcontracted?

Both. We maintain our own team in Tokyo and work with long-standing partner vendors and licensed English-speaking guides across Japan. Your program is managed by our staff; specialist services are delivered through partners we have worked with for years.

Can you run our recurring annual group and improve it each year?

Yes. Recurring annual groups are a specialty. We keep your group’s full operating file from year to year, apply what worked, and refine hotels, routing, and timing each season. Several partner agencies have run the same annual Japan departure with us for years.

Can you provide kosher, halal, vegan, or vegetarian meals throughout Japan?

Absolutely — this is our specialty. We arrange these meals throughout Japan, including for multi-day group programs, verified restaurant by restaurant. State the requirement at the quote stage and it is built into the itinerary from the start.

If something goes wrong mid-trip, who does our client call?

Direct contact numbers for our team are provided with every booking, and support in Japan is available 24 hours a day throughout travel. Your clients reach the people running their trip, at any hour they need to.

How far ahead must groups commit for peak seasons?

Ideally six to nine months ahead for peak seasons, and a minimum of four months for any group. Cherry blossom and winter ski departures book out first, so earlier commitment means better hotels, better rates, and first choice of dates.

Commercial terms for partner agencies are discussed directly when you get in touch. Every program is quoted individually against your brief.
