If you have a windows machine on the network, while the extender is solid white, can you go to a command prompt and put in arp -a and see if that .51 shows up (if you set it static back then), if not it may have a different address, you should be able to find the MAC address on the bottom of the unit and see if it shows up in the list from that command.
